Whether your ideal trip includes staying in one place or being constantly on the move, the beauty of this trip is that it is totally customizable to your individual needs.
Hiking the Alaska Backcountry
One of the best ways to explore the remote and stunning Alaskan wilderness is on foot. Once you are dropped off at the start of your trip, you will have the opportunity to do endless hiking; travelling across the varied and remote Alaskan wilderness in areas rarely if at all traveled by anyone. Whether you choose to hike a high alpine pass, a river valley, along a lake shore or on the tundra, where you travel on this trip and the type of terrain and scenery you see will be yours to decide.
At approximately 1,000,000 acres in size or about the size of the State of Rhode Island, the area is completely remote and is accessible only by plane and as such has remained virtually untouched and unseen by people, meaning that you’ll be able to experience the wilds of Alaska in virtual solitude. This trip will afford you the opportunity to develop an intimate connection with the Alaskan wilderness in a way very few others have.
Camping in the Wilds of Alaska
For some, camping means driving a motorhome to a paved campground or to a park and relaxing. That is NOT what you are going to find on this trip! This is a remote wilderness trip. Your accommodations, along with all your gear will be in your backpack. Once you step foot into the Alaskan wilderness and start hiking, you be able to decide where and for how long to set up camp. Whether your pleasure is camping from a single base camp along the shores of a clear mountain lake or backpacking across literally thousands of square miles of remote Alaskan wilderness; the choice is yours. This trip will afford you the opportunity to create a trip suited to you – whether you are a seasoned or inexperienced wilderness traveler, this trip is your adventure to live.
